内容記述 | This study focused on the “Infant Care Seminar I” class, which provides the foundation for teaching “infant care” in the Nursery Teacher Training Course; sought to clarify the educational effects of the class content, along with future challenges; and explored teaching methods. A group survey was conducted wherein questionnaires were administered to 69 students who had completed the “Infant Care Seminar I” class. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistics, a goodness-of-fit test, the Mann–Whitney U test, and Fisher’s exact test, and p < 0.05 was taken to be statistically significant in a two-sided test. The results indicated that “Infant Care Seminar I” enables students who have not yet developed a concrete image of infants to learn about them, and simultaneously, the course content enables them to sufficiently acquire the necessary knowledge in accordance with their desired future occupation. As a means of overcoming the challenge expected to be posed in the future by “individual work” and “presentation” classes, which were evaluated poorly as effective class types, it is essential to reconsider their objectives, content, and structure and create more meaningful classes overall. | |||||
