Self-administered questionnaires were distributed to 137 university students in 2007. Forty-eight adjective scales from the Semantic Differential Technique were utilized to analyze the data. After factor analysis, the forty-eight scales were divided into three dimensions. : (1)activity image (2)evaluation image (3)image of difficulty In regards to the dimensions of "activity image" and "evaluation image", students tended to have a positive image. The outcome was as follows; 1. Students who had prior interest in welfare before entering high school have a positive image. 2. Prior opportunities of contact with welfare issues had no effect on the occupation image. 3.
