This study clarifies how children’s SES are associated with their internalizing/externalizing behavior and bullying perpetration based on ratings given by their parents. First, we identified the factor structure of the measurement scale of children’s SES as rated by their parents. The results indicated that a higher-order factor analysis model would be suitable if the five factors were further explained by such factors. The reliability of this scale was also examined, as well as its validity according to differences in gender and developmental stage of the children. Finally, the relationship between the SES scale and children’s internalizing/externalizing problems, as well as bullying perpetration, was clarified.
