This study included seven OTRs with teaching experience.\nResults: “Communication” was the skill sought in new OTRs, and “perspective” and “guidance” were the characteristic words in the skills required by instructors. The most characteristic words were “treatment” and “being able to perform” in the first year, “teaching” in the second year, and “life” and “communication” in the third year, in terms of the new OTRs’ development.\nConclusion: The supervising OTRs considered teaching the new OTRs necessary to improve their communication skills and provide treatment and patient-centered occupational therapy to the new OTRs.
