The targeted domain is business areas with problems and challenges, and the target group is beginners in data science, including mathematical statistics, business administration, and information and communication science. Statistical quality control methods such as hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, and regression analysis are used to solve problems and achieve issues. The main feature of this research is the use of tangible teaching materials, enabling beginners in data science to understand statistical methods and engage in problem-solving and goal achievement. The PDCA cycle is adopted as a step for utilizing statistical methods, with the goal of enhancing data science skills within the spiral-up process. The use of appropriate statistical analysis software is assumed. Complex statistical methods and the theories, which may be challenging for beginners, are omitted in favor of emphasizing practical applications in the business context. This approach is motivated by the rapidly changing and expanding nature of various events in the current business environment. The paper also considers the utilization of regression models obtained through statistical quality control methods and the effective use of statistical analysis software on personal computers. These methods are understood as improvement activities in statistical quality control.
