Concretely, the content of the future time perspectives held by children living in remote islands is grasped, and the background (reason) for holding such future time perspectives is examined. In this study, the survey was carried out by questionnaire and semi-structured interview to grasp how children view the future as more multifaceted. Based on the text data obtained from the questionnaire and the verbatim records obtained in the interview, the text mining was carried out, and the number of utterances of the code extracted from the utterance in the interview was totaled for each developmental stage. As the result, the results suggest that children living on remote islands in Okinawa have a wide variety of future occupations.
