This study demonstrates and evaluates our educational program’s execution, which will begin in 2021, based on a SWOT analysis for maternity nursing practicum.\nMethods: We made the SWOT analysis in 2021 in consideration of the situation in the previous year 2020） of the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the analytical findings, we decided on a low-risk implementation strategy for the practicum and made an effort to improve three maternity nursing education courses offered before the nursing practicum by deepening their connections with one another to ensure the quality of the final practicum.\nResults: Our difficulty based on the SWOT analysis seemed to assure the quality of the practicum even though the practicum term was shortened. Since the COVID-19 epidemic, we have made numerous efforts to improve the student’s education, and these efforts have shown to be successful in ensuring the practicum’s quality.\nConclusions: The use of the analytical tool made it possible to figure out the current situation and visualize and share the decision-making process.
