Traditional muscle palpation textbooks aim to allow therapists to palpate the participant’s muscles. Therefore, it is difficult for students to use them and practice palpation on them by themselves.\nI developed a method that allows students to use their own body and palpate the muscles of the lower limbs.\nMethod: I practiced to palpate myself with my own body first. Then I improved the skills until it could be presented and introduced to students in an easy-to-understand manner.\nResults: I presented to students the order of the palpating, the proper body position for palpating, and how to apply stress to muscles to its respective muscles.\nConclusions: Practicing palpation on one’s own lower limb muscles has several merits. Using one's own body means that it can be practiced wherever and whenever one likes, including at-home even during the coronavirus period. It does not depend on the body of others when palpating. Also, if students practice on themselves, they can gain skill before they perform it on others. Using a diagram of the muscles, students can utilize precise anatomical knowledge of key muscles, such as sartorius, rectus femoris, and triceps surae and visualize the muscles when they practice on their own body.
