The percentage of the teleworker population in Japan has been flat for some time, but in 2020 it reached its highest level in the past five years. This is thought to be due to the impact of the new coronavirus infection, which led to the search for a new way of economic activity and further acceleration of the promotion of telework in companies.\nIn this study, using data from an online survey of workers nationwide conducted in August 2021, we conducted an analysis that focused on the changes that the implementation of telework would have on workers. In order to encourage the promotion of telework based on the impact on workers, we analyzed the respondents' attributes, changes over the past year and gender differences, and differences in telework experience to clarify the reality of telework in the midst of the prevalence of COVID-19.\nAs a result, two new points of focus and hypotheses were derived for the next step of this research. One point of focus is support for the introduction of telework in small and medium-sized companies, and the other point is the relationship between telework and stress beyond the changes felt by workers.
