Until the first half of the 2000s, various discussions were held on the internationalization of companies centered on developed countries in international business research, but the accumulation of research on research in emerging markets (especially Southeast Asia) of multinational companies is shallow. And the current situation is that there is almost no accumulation of research on the entry of service multinational companies into emerging markets. This paper reviews various studies that have been discussed from the perspective of distance as research to elucidate the internationalization of companies and discusses institution-based views that not only cultural discussions but also isomorphism within the nstitutional environment is important.
