The present study aimed to investigate reasons for life dissatisfaction, relate each reason to the status of participation in activities that contribute to society, and consider approaches to activity promotion. Workshops to help elderly begin activities and recruitment by the government and other organizations are necessary for stimulating participation in activities that contribute to society.
