We report the outline of the program and consider future issues. \nMethod: The online simulation program featured a female pneumonia child, whose care plan had been made prior to the program. The students watched video depicting a nursing process of the patient a care scene for the patient, on the basis of which they practiced taking care of child patients with pneumonia on the basis of nursing process. In the simulation, the condition of the child and her family changed from day to day; the teacher showed the students various reactions of the child her family, depending on how much they were involved with the patient. The students gained a deeper understanding of care of child patients through repetitive practice and reflection. \nResult: There was a difference between this online program and those in the previous literature: the teacher responded to the patient and his/her family, performed the simulated experience for several days, showed the change in the patient's condition, and also experienced the recovery process.
