Later each survey item was tested, using the Daily Life Performance Checklist, Life-Space-Assessment (LSA), Japan Science and Technology Agency Index of Competence, Japan Stroke Stare-Depression Scale (JSS-D), and Lifestyle Checklist.\nResults: Fourteen patients responded and many of them felt that （after one month of being discharged from the acute hospital） they had a feeling of inconvenience in daily life performance. For example, they felt weakness in fingertip strength and found difficulty to accomplish other activities, such as hands operability, basic movements, and going out of their houses. There was a correlation between lifestyle behaviors and JSS-D and LSA.\nConclusion: Occupational therapists in acute care hospitals need to evaluate Activities of Daily Living and Instrumental Activities Daily Living for patients with mild CVA in the early stages of their hospitalization for a better life after discharge.
