 note = {pdf, School age siblings of children with chronic illness and disabilities are affected psychosocial influence by their sibling’s conditions. As such, they require support. However, what they are receiving is inadequate. The main support for these siblings is offered by self-help groups. However, since these groups are not professionals, what they can do is limited. What is needed that the self-help groups cannot provide alone is educational and social support to reduce the psychosocial influences on the siblings of children with chronic illness and disabilities.
