Through the series of interviews, we discovered that school students and their teachers all felt there was no problem for the New Immigrant Children living in Taiwan, as they grew up in Taiwan and could speak Chinese. However, the support provided by schools to them cannot be considered sufficient from the perspective of multicultural and multilingual education. Without considering their multicultural and multilingual backgrounds, the education system may be pressuring the children to integrate and adapt to Taiwanese society in the name of equality and fairness.
