This investigation indicated her later years from the view point of pictorial images. Living with Kotaro Takamura, a sculptor and poet, she started the symbiosis. When she faced the conflict between painting and living, her parents’ home went bankrupt. Distraught over this event, she attempted a suicide and finally developed schizophrenia. In hospital, she adopted paper cutouts as a daily routine, which enhanced her creativity as an artist. Her clipping “crab” is excellent. Kotaro limned Chieko beautifully in his anthology “Chieko-sho”. Setting up two naked female statues, he doesn’t wholly admit the resemblance of Chieko. He may reveal his awareness of self-recognition to glorify her. Realizing their originality, the images created late in life symbolize their existence.
