Specially, for the business which serves customers directly, the quality of service is influenced by the employee's personality traits. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between emotional labor behavior-which indicated the behavior of \"emotional labor\"-and personality traits in restaurant workers. Self-monitoring and self-consciousness were taken as the personality traits. The result of regression analysis, predictably, the ability to modify self-presentation of self-monitoring showed the relation with emotional labor behavior. Contrary to our expectation, public self-consciousness was hardly related, but private self-consciousness was.
